If you have an Echo device, you probably know that you can ask Alexa to play a variety of songs. But unless you have a paid subscription to Amazon Music, the number of songs Alexa can play for you is somewhat limited.
First, you'll need to link your Spotify account to Alexa, and set it as your default music service. In the Alexa app, open the left-hand menu (the three horizontal bars in the upper left),.

The good news is that you can change Alexa’s default music service to something other than Amazon Music. You can connect Alexa to a music service you subscribe to and make that service your default music service for Alexa.
Even if you’ve connected Spotify to your Alexa account, Amazon will automatically default to its own music service first, which might explain why it can’t find your playlists. To do this, open the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone, press the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top left of the screen and select Settings.
After you’ve changed the default music service, Alexa will automatically play songs from that service, without you having to request that service each time you speak to Alexa.
